Born in Pasadena, raised in Chicago, First pro gig was with ; Bobby Rush, that opened the door to playing with a host of others like, Tyrone Davis, Jimmy Reed, Garland Green, Walter Jackson, Mary Wells, The Brighter Side of Darkness, Staple Singers, and the Chi-lites, Moved to the West coast met H.B. Barnum, thru him worked with Donna Summer,and Aretha Franklin, Soon met Jazz & blues great Barbara Morrison, also played with The Watts Prophets, Phil Upchurch, Barbara McNair, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr., Jesse Powell, Kim Westen, Miki Howard, recorded with such Hip Hop groups like The Alcoholics , Daddy Freddy, and ?The Free Style Fellowship? , as well as several several other great musicians & singers. Toured on and off for 9 yrs. with the AIS musical,? Wild Women Blues? the European tour featuring Tony Award winner Linda Hopkins , with Maxine Welden and Mortonette Jenkins. Linda also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Other Musicals include American Hot Wax, and ?North on South Central?, which we won the NAACP award for best ensemble, etc. Tv, and movies: Clint Eastwood?s ?Bird? Televisions series: Fame, Frank?s Place, Private Eye.
