Guest: Eddie Jones - President of the Los Angeles Civil Rights Association

Eddie Jones Jr. a native of Los Angeles, CA. has been president of the Los Angeles Civil Rights Association for ten years and a public servant for the last twenty years. Mr. Jones has worked with a variety of leaders from all over the United States such as Dr. Earl Ofari Hutchinson, AI Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Yvonne Burke, Congress woman Diane Watson, Congress woman Maxine Waters, Dr. Martin Luther King Ill, John Mack, Council Man Herb Wesson, Council Man Bernard Parks, Dick Gregory, Danny Bakewell Sr., and a host of other governors, congress people, council people.

Eddie has worked on a variety of cases with the Los Angeles Civil Rights Association along with the department of justice to investigate wrongful treatment of innocent people along with other major issues. Some cases that the Los Angeles Civil Rights Association has worked on include the wrongful death of Woodrow Player Jr. who was shot in the back with no weapon found, the Kevin Wicks shooting, the Devin Brown shooting, the Tyiesha Miller shooting, the wrongful killing of John Thomas Horton Ill who was beat to death and hung in the men's central jail in downtown Los Angeles unveiling the cover up of beatings and misconduct. Mr. Jones has also worked very closely with the families of cases such as the shooting of Montae Ray Talbert also known as M-Bone, and so many other cases. 

The Los Angeles Civil Right Association makes it a priority to help the community in a variety of ways. They have collaborated with council man Herb Wesson to put a street light on Rodeo at Dorsey High school where nine year old Demaria Grant was hit and killed by a hit and run driver. They provide food for the homeless every Friday from seven pm to ten pm.
