Where should we start, born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, he started singing around the house during his preteen years, and started to notice that he had this falsetto voice, which got a lot of attention during his Junior and High school years.
One of the first teens at his home church St John A.M.E to sing a solo in the church. After that it was groups after groups as the 1st tenor in four man and 5 man singing group.
Everyone wanted to be either Eddie Kendrick's, David Ruffin or Melvin Franklin. He was Eddie.
Then while attending the University at Brockport State outside of Rochester, New York Morris was the lead singer of Trans Rhythm Review one of best bands in the Niagara Falls, Buffalo area and we had the opportunity to open the show for The Commodores, who had just sign with Motown during our Black Student Union show in Highland Park, Rochester, New York on August 10, 1974.
Later that same year December 1 , 1974 they were the opening act for the O'Jays and Graham Central Station at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, which is now the Seneca Nation Casino.
After graduation in 76 with a B.S degree, Morris traveled West by way of Colorado Springs, then to Los Angeles in 77, enter many talent shows and met songwriting partner Kenneth Moore in the 80's produced several project together. ("Missing You" Fly Away") and numerous other projects together. Several groups form, Style 22 and Nu Direction.
Since arriving in California in 1977 he's worked or interacted with the following entertainers, musician and actors: Janie Bradford - songwriter. he the sung demo for the other side of Diana Ross hit song Muscles, " I am me". She wrote the hit song for Marvin Gaye, "Ain't Too Busy Thinking About My Baby".
Eddie Kendrick's - 1989 performed on stage at the Strand Nightclub, Redondo Beach, CA., Cannibal and Headhunters, The Esquires, LA Rhythm Kings, Ralph and Victor Tavares, Ron Banks and L J Reynolds, Carry On.
While being a member of First A.M.E church in Los Angeles, a group guys got together and form a gospel group called the Spiritual Hi-Tones. In 2006 they recorded a 10 song CD which got distribute across the country.
Morris says, "I look forward to a Lounge Act in Vegas one day, along with many more recording."
